CDW Millworks - Shipping Policy
- Shipping is arranged via UPS Ground, FedEx Ground or truck direct from the factory to customers in the Canada and the United States. Shipping times vary.
- CDW Millworks has a minimum shipping charge of $100.00 for all orders. If shipping is going to exceed $100.00, you will be notified immediately. Most shipping companies (e.g. Fedex, UPS, etc) supply software to calculate shipping costs. Although these programs are accurate for smaller parcels, they are not accurate for the type of products that CDW Millworks makes. Various components such as railings, posts and mantles are irregular in shape and can often weigh quite a lot. It is CDW's experience that a flat fee for shipping is the best policy. As noted above, if there needs to be an increase in your shipping fee, you will be notified before your order is processed.
- We are not able to deliver to PO and APO/FPO boxes, excepting rural "PO" addresses.
- Indicate any special delivery instructions in your "Add Comments About Your Order" when placing your order - or contact us directly.
- Each order may only have one "Shipping Address." If you require multiple shipping addresses, please order separately for each address.
Lead Time - Processing, Manufacture & Assembly
- Processing can vary depending on your order. You will be contacted via email within 2 business days of placing your order with an estimated time of completion and delivery.
Manufacture and assembly times will vary
- Quick Ship orders are ready to ship in 1-10 days after processing. Contact us to pin down a precise date when your order would leave the factory.
- Custom orders are ready to ship in 2-8 weeks after processing.
- Special Custom orders may require 2-4 months, most notably, wood seating imported from European factories.
- Accelerated Custom orders - contact us & we might be able to speed things up for you!
Orders Damaged in Shipping
Shipments are rarely lost - and specialized packing minimizes the likelihood of damage in transit. Perform the following steps when you receive a shipment:
- Inspect for visible outside package damage prior to accepting, and document any damage on the delivery ticket before the shipper leaves.
- Verify the number of packages delivered with the packing slip you receive from CDW Millworks.
- Unpack your order and check for damage.
- Should any damage be discovered, keep the shipping carton and any inner packaging, ask the shipper to inspect it immediately, and put that request in writing - this has to be requested within 2 business days of delivery.
- Contact our Customer Service immediately. Have your order number, shipping information and tracking number ready.

Cancellation: Custom Millwork
Once your custom order has been put into production, it will be difficult to cancel, because the order reflects your unique tastes. Requests for returns are very rare because customer satisfaction runs very high. However, 2 Cautions before you order:
- Color/Texture Disclaimer: Stains may appear lighter and colors may not be accurate and textures may not be properly visualized as a result of photographic, Internet & computer inaccuracies and many other factors beyond our control. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that the product colors, textures and stains & grains you see displayed on this site are perfectly accurate.
- WHEN YOU ACCEPT & PLACE AN ORDER, you are accepting the limitations inherent in not directly viewing samples. Absent your obtaining such samples, your completion of an order constitutes your waver of any claim you may have due to dissatisfaction with the product colors, textures, stains & grains. If you are not sure please contact us if you'd like to receive more accurate fabric & wood samples before ordering.
Dimensions Disclaimer: You are solely responsible for making sure you have accurately measured the intended dimensions of the custom piece that you are ordering. Cancellation: Orders Not-Yet-in-Production
You can cancel an order that has not gone into production (48 hours from order) or In Stock, Non-Customized components that are not in transit to our warehouse or your delivery address. To cover our costs for order placement and tracking, we charge a Cancellation Fee of $25 CDN. Returns
Please contact us immediately if you believe your products were damaged in shipment, you received the wrong product, or you are not satisfied with your product. Our aim is to make sure you are 100% satisfied!
CDW Millworks will provide credit from returned products toward any future purchases.If products are deemed acceptable for return , we will give you specific return instructions - and any pre-paid shipping charges or restocking charges that will apply.
